I am an artist who works with found objects and images. This collection of images represent some of my most embarrassing, revealing and intense writings and drawings from my teenage years.

Wanting to unload the baggage of my hefty adolescence I scanned much of my teenage journals, sketchbooks and photos to this blog. The dematerialization of this stuff allowed me to examine it in a way that I otherwise would not have-as the burden that it was. To express the physicality of the burden I created asculpture of two boulders out of the source. The small boulder is made with my first three journals; ages 9-13. The larger boulder is my journals from ages 14-19.

Isolation Banner

I created this banner and hung it from the front of my house for the duration of my father's absence. I didn't want to be trusted-it baffled the neighbors.

Letter from Dad

This letter was sent to me by my father when I was staying home alone with my elderly Grandmother and he was receiving homeopathic cancer treatments in California.

It still brings mixed feelings.

As dramatic as it all was he was still just a kinda funny guy.

FBs

This box (shown unfolded) sat on my desk for years. It was used to hold Friendship Books. Below are some pages from one of my last surviving FBs. Your ability to attract pen pals was contingent on your ability to decorate a page and name the cool bands that you were into-whether you really were into them or not. Much posturing.
